Apple Butter

Last weekend we went to the Bailey's and made apple butter. We had a good time hanging out with everyone. Natalie wasn't able to make it, which was a bummer. I got to spend some quality time with Celeste though- in the ER- because she had some crazy allergic reaction in her eye. Seriously, crazy. It looked like her eyeball was gonna pop out. (Don't worry, she's fine. She got some allergy eye drops and she didn't go blind.)

While we were gone, Jonah got to hang out with Sarah and the chickens.

Apple butter is delicious. Especially when Rob's mom makes it. YUM. I love it. The process of making it is pretty awesome, too. A huge kettle of apple mush and seasoning sits over a fire for HOURS and you have to constantly stir it. Everyone took turns stirring and canning. The stir stick was giant and you more or less scrape it across the bottom opposed to actually stirring. I don't know exactly how many mason jars were filled when it was all said and done, but there were a lot.

Best thing ever :)

Next to him of course:

Hiis Daddy's pretty great too. xoxo.
