Holiday.

It's memorial Day weekend, and we are hanging out with family. Matt has 2 days in a row off (unheard of) and it is lovely. Hot, but a nice breeze. I'm so glad we are so blessed. Did I mention that I LOVE my family? Jonah is being super cute today, too :) Not that that's anything new, but it never ceases to amaze me.

And also, I love this song:

moonlight and moss in the trees

I have been feeling very inspired lately. I love how inspiring strangers can be. Today, for example- these kids. They are amazingly talented. This isn't even their best song but it's a favorite song of mine, so have a listen. I love family harmonies. Nothing beats it. Seven Bridges Road is also my favorite song to sing with my own family. Anywhoo, here is Dave's Highway.....

Seriously....

Jonah's 1st camping trip.

This weekend was Jonah's first time camping. I'll never forget it either, but not for the best reasons. My husband can't bring his C-PAP camping so he snored so loud I couldn't sleep, as did his best friend Steven. It was like surround sound snoring. It started to pour down rain at about 3am, Jonah woke up at 4am sneezing, and our tent sprung a leak... so we left with the sun. Prior to that, though, it was wonderful.

As always, here are some pictures:

Story time

I'm so glad that Jonah loves being read to...
It pays to start 'em young.
I'm living proof, a full blown bookworm.

Kiddos

The past two weeks I have been watching my cousin (not blood, but for all intensive purposes) Christi's son part time along with Jakob. It's been awesome. I'm not going to lie- at first the idea of adding a third kid had me a little stressed but he has been a doll. and Jakob has someone to play with, instead of trying to play with 4 month Jonah, lol. Here are my favorite pics of Daniel's time @ Aunt Kym's house :)

Scatter-brained/random jumble of things.

Today I felt productive and invincible. So I cooked meals and froze them, so that all I have to do is reheat food for the next TWO WEEKS. No cooking and minimal dishes? Yes, please. Throughout all of this I cleaned, talked to my mother-in-law on the phone, fed Jonah, supervised Jakob's play dough time, played with Jonah, put both boys down for a nap, talked to my Dad, talked to my mom, made Jakob lunch, fed Jonah, played with Jonah, took the boys outside... and blah blah blah. I even somehow managed to take pictures.

My hilariously full freezer:
Jonah sitting like a lil dude:
I'm glad that he's still in love with his swing:
I need about a million more of these crates.
They're great for storage... seriously.
I would use them for EVERYTHING:

Yesterday Matt & I went to our niece's softball game.
She was too cute for words:

Jakob in a bunch of bubbles:

Yesterday I was super bummed that Haley got voted off American Idol. BOO.

Oh, and...
Dear bird that built your nest in our roof:
You're an idiot.

Dear baby birds that live in the nest in our roof,
Fly already. If you're big enough to make as much noise as you do,
you are certainly big enough to fly. So please, go. Fly away little birdies.

Fri-Sun.

So, on Friday I was supposed to go pick up this trunk, but the lady from Craigslist never e-mailed me back her address. Total bummer. The day didn't stay sour for long though, because we left for my Dad's when Matt got home, and actually got to spend a SATURDAY (amazing- I know) and a Sunday in STL. We played a new card game called There's a moose in the house (hilarious), went to an antique mall, my Dad introduced us to two new awesome stores: gringo jones and the bug store,  Jonah got lots of lovin, and I baked brownies with my niece.

Gringo Jones was a crazy store, with 3 dogs that roamed freely... one of which, was a sweetheart named Lola, who was so sweet I had to sit and pet here for a while. She was less sweet when she decided to stand on me, and not budge.

By the way, my family is awesome. I say this all the time, but it's just impossible not to brag on them. I'm so so glad that jonah has so many people surrounding him and loving him constantly.
